Answer is no basically. If you would like to have Automation capability in DxDataBook go ahead and promote the idea please!

As you have found out, DxDatabook does not contain any methods to extract data out of the database.
You could try to do this by going directly to your database API and querying the data that way provided you have the primary key (i.e. part number) than you're looking for. You might have to write a separate program to query the database. Then you can use the AddAttribute to add the properties found in your database query to the component.
We use DMS to host our DxDatabook database. The DMS API is Java based so if I was to do something like this, I'd first write a Java program to query the database and write it to a file, then use the DxDesigner API to open the file and get the data and add the properties. It's messy but it's doable.

Could you also just add the part number, then use Validation to fill in the attributes later. (as a quick fix, we NEED that automation for long term!!!! PLEASE everyone, go vote for it!!!!)
