Take a look at the documentation for Block.AddReuseBlockInstanceEx method, which specifies a MergeData object for handling bus contents, globals, etc.
thank you for your reply. Actually I didnt try the Block.AddReuseBlockInstanceEx-method because the Reuse Block is already instantiated in
the design. I looked for an "UpdateReuseBlock"-method but there isn´t such a method. So I´m not sure whether the Block.AddReuseBlockInstanceEx-method
also applies in my case and, if so, how to apply it.
by the way, I tried the Block.AddReuseBlockInstanceEx method and it didn`t work:
set NewComp = TopLevelBlock.AddReuseBlockInstanceEx(0,"Cougarpoint_8xx_busconts_test",MergeDat,0,"",True,True,CLng(6),CLng(28.5))
The error message I get is attached.

In the meantime I got the AddReuseBlockInstanceEx method working together with the MergeData-object.
But I cant find any possibility to find out whether a Reuse Block in DxDesigner needs to be updated.
Please can somebody tell me how to do this with Automation?
It is not currently possible, using automation, to find out whether a Reuse Block in DxDesigner needs to be updated. This is a known issue. I would suggest that you go to SupportNet and log an SR and ask that it be linked to the existing DR.
thanks for this information. Can you tell me the DR-number, please? I opened a Service Request but I am not sure whether
this will be linked to the DR you mentioned.
