Unfortunately, that error is rather generic. There are a few different problems that might cause the error. Here are a few technotes that should give you the information you need to solve the problem.
If these do not provide the solution you need, then you should open a new service request (SR) on SupportNet.mentor.com. The application engineer who responds will be able to find the cause of the error in your specific case.
I know this is an old post but I have got the same error in the past. One thing to try is Advanced Batch mode instead. It gives you more details in what the problem is and most cases it will still run and show you results. Advance mode is selected at the main HyperLynx 'dashboard' window, look at the bottom for some check boxes to tick.
