Clicking the middle mouse button to "CENTER VIEW" doesn't work the same anymore, instead it brings the "Board (<Home>)" view. How can I restore it?
I'm using PADS Layout 9.4.1 on OS Win 7 (X64)
You can reset in Tools-Customize-Keyboard and Mouse tab
Did "Tools-Customize-Keyboard and Mouse tab - Reset-All", it didn't help.
Found out (from Cust. support) that the cause might be the PADS-Helper that I installed recently.
Do I need to Un-instal "PADS-Helper" for the reset to work? Thanks.
Right mouse click on the PADS Helper icon in the System Tray, select Options. Expand PCB > Mouse > Others. For the "Click Mouse Middle Button (Mouse Wheel)", click the drop-down arrow control next to this to change the setting from "Extent Sheet/Board" to "None", click OK.
Note: You may need to click the "Show hidden icons" arrow in Windows 7 to see the PADS Helper icon in the System Tray
Thanks Bill, tried changing the settings to "none", and now it doesn't change the view, but doesn't do the "Center View" either... Is it possible to restore that function again?
That's odd, the None setting allows the middle mouse click to return to a center view mode on my system. You might try exiting from the PADS Helper tool and restart PADS Layout and keep the PADS Helper closed to see if there was some other hook from PADS Helper preventing it from working. Also, if you have a programmable mouse like a Logitech, take a look at the SetPoint settings and make sure the middle mouse button is set to a task of "Middle Button".
"You might try exiting from the PADS Helper tool and restart PADS Layout" - Did that on my 1st try that didn't work.
It works now after I executed your procedure again > disabled PADS-Helper from starting with windows > rebooted my PC > in LAYOUT: Tools > Customize > "Keyboard & Mouse" > Reset all.
