REF DES keeps changing when netlister is run on design (DxD 7.92EE on Linux)

I am having a rather frustrating problem with keeping the REF DES fixed for a symbol on a schematic. The symbol contains two parts and is set to generate four instances of the package for a total of eight gates. The pin numbers increment properly when the part is placed on the schematic but when the netlister is run, the desired REF DES are changed. This is an issue because the symbol is part of an I/O bank and the REF DES has to be consistent across the four packages that have been placed. I have tried assigning a Frozen property of Fix to the symbol but this does not help. I've just recently begun using DxD and so I'm still learning all the ins and outs of the package. I find it much easier to use and better behaved than that capture/layout program that starts with an 'O'
