... but when I click the Add Component button, nothing is there. The various libraries are listed, but no parts are visible.
What am I missing here?
Did this work previously or is this your first time trying this?
Do you have something in your "items box' search filter ('*' is good)?
Oh, Ok. "That was Easy"
But all it lists are Part Types. I have built a fiducial, don't really care about part types, just want to drop the fiducial on the board. Do I need to create a "complete" part with part type, cae decal and all that?
I personally drive everthing from the schematic, so nothing ends up on the PCB without a parttype. Others can chime in on the techniques for working directly on the layout.
I went ahead and finished it as a complete part with part type and all. Works as intended.
Hisave your pcb decal with "save as". The program, after saving the pcb decal will ask you if you want to save the part type. if needed, you can add the electrical infos-, and then you have your part. Then pick it from library and place it.
