How do I select all ref designator properties either on the opened sheet or accros the entire design in dxdesigner?
I've tried the command line, slabel and sname commands to no avail.
Then run the same command but also check the Select Properties Only check box in the bottom right of the dialog.
Use the Find/Replace dialog with the settings in the picture:
Thanks for the reply Robert.
I've tried that and yes I can use it to select all the components which have the "Ref Designator" property on it.
But what I really neeed is the ability to select the "Ref Designator" value on each component,
This is so I can change ALL "Ref Designator" values colour to from Black to "Automatic".
Thanks Robert, this works great, and it stays within our "out of the box" mantra.
Use the script form as a sample at the following link.
The script was designed to reset all text to automatic color, if only reference designators are an issue, you will have to modify the script form to only select the Ref Designator property.
If you use Roberts suggestion, for updating multiple pages, use the page tabs to select page without reseting the selection of the properties.
Thanks for the reply Gary, your solution is something I would love to investigate and use.
This time around I'm trying to stay as close to "out of the box" as possible. In Board Station I've written umpteen thousands of lines of ample code, which was cool until it came time to re-verify all of it every time there was a revision change or patch in Board Station.
Having said that, I've downloaded your code and I'm really looking forward to trying, tweaking and playing with it.
