    component's origin for manufacturer

    v.anisoveca

How can I create output file for Pick & Place Machine with x/y coordinates for each of the components in PADS Layout?

What should I do if almost all of the components have their origins at pin 1, not at the centre of footprint?

Is there any script in PADS which automatically defines the coordinates of central points of the components, no matter where is its origin?

      Thank you in advance!

The best format for assebmly  is ODB++ or Pads ASIC although Pads CAMplus(a license feature) supports to output a specific pickup machine data, but A simple file of XY coordinates is not useful because assembly guy need to know component notations etc.  If your output file format is ODB++ or PADS ASIC, You have no need to set component origin to outline center. If you prefer XY coordinate  format file, you can output an IDF file and simply  format IDF file into what you wanna.
