Net names are kept under label, so to get net name you must do two steps:
step 1. choose any segment of net
seg = net.GetSegments().Item(1);
step 2. get label from selected net
name = net.GetConnectedLabel(seg).ResolvedName;
Little warning: my code example has C# syntax but it should work directly in VBS too.
Thanks for your answer.
I could never think of such an idea.
Tomorrow morning I am going to check it.
can you please give some advice about the difference of using GetConnectedLabel() versus GetConnectedNetName() ?
No, I can't. I'm DxD user, not MentorGraphics employee :-)
Only thing that I know is that text displayed on schematic belongs to segment (segment(s) build(s) a net) but it is not segment proberty but separate label object.
I have found more confusing objects/properties in DxD automation.
The best way to deal with it is using good debugger and "normal" programming language.
Use M$ Visual Studio and C# instead of annoying VBS/JS!
