Viewing PEX results of a net clicked in the layout
Using a layout viewer, e.g.
Calibre DESIGNrev Layout Viewer
Through the Calibre menu
Invoke Calibre Interactive to allow “Run_PEX”
Before choosing “Run_PEX”
Request a net summary report like this:
Outputs -> Reports -> Net Summary
Now click: “Run PEX”
Once Calibre xRC has completed the “Run_PEX” event.
Open the Finder in Calibre Interactive
using the View pull down menu:
In the Finder panel, locate item 4. Object’s Name
Click the icon that looks like a layout.
This allows you to populate the Object’s Name field
by clicking on a net in the layout.
Clicking on the layout icon in item 4. in the finder panel gives this:
Clicking on the layout net of interest gives the Object Selection box:
Results in this:
Open the Plus sign next to the Net.
Next open the Source Net plus sign showing the corresponding Layout Net.
The net of interest is now shown highlighted in the PEX listing.
You can browse further in the parasitic elements.
Expand the plus signs for the R, C and CC parasitic elements.
Right click on a specific R or C or CC element
and highlight it in the layout.
This browsing allows you to see the actual layout shape for which
specific R or C parasitic elements were computed.
For more detail on the net of interest
consult the my_net_summary.rpt file
that you requested be produced above.
The GUI setting:
Outputs -> Reports -> Net Summary -> Net Summary Report -> my_net_summary.rpt
produces this rule to be used in the “Run PEX” action.
PEX REPORT NETSUMMARY "my_net_summary.rpt" FULL DETAIL SCALE 1 COLUMNS ADVANCED
