    mgls_v9-9_3-1-0.ixl on RHEL 6

I am trying to get mgls_v9-9_3-1-0.ixl working for my recently generated license set.

lmgrd starts up, but mgcld does not.

I have checked the log file:

      16:22:54 (mgcld)     ==>INCREMENT znview mgcld 2014.060 30-jun-2014 15 4E829B33109DF97C1138 \

16:22:54 (lmgrd) license file and re-start daemons.

      16:22:54 (lmgrd)

16:22:54 (lmgrd) This may be due to the fact that you are using

16:22:54 (lmgrd) a different license file from the one you expect.

16:22:54 (lmgrd) Check to make sure that:

      16:22:54 (lmgrd) /opt/tools/mentor_lic/etc/cust/mgc/mgc.licenses

16:22:54 (lmgrd) is the license file you want to use.

I have checked for necessary libraries to be installed (with i686 support):

      [root@secw33 /]#  find . -name "ld-lsb*" -print

      [root@secw33 /]#

I habe tested lmutil reading the hostid as used for lmgrd

      [65]mentorgr@secw33> lmutil lmhostid

lmutil - Copyright (c) 1989-2013 Flexera Software LLC. All Rights Reserved.

The FlexNet host ID of this machine is ""e89a8f9232ba e89a8f9232bb""

Only use ONE from the list of hostids.

For security I am running lmgrd as non-root process. This works well for two other

application I am running on the same system.

Does anyone has an idea where to probe further ? Or does anyone has experience how to overcome

      this problem ?

      Thanks in advance

I got it working. All works as desired.

Reason for all that trouble: the set of licences had been split in TWO parts both referring to the same machine !

There was NO reference in the file header to that second SERVER definition hunderts of lines further down in the license file.

Took me roughly 2 hours for testing and checking !
