For this one you can manually compare the netlists of the two projects.
Otherwise so many third party softwares available to compare netlists of two projects. You can export keyin netlist of the two projects and you can compare it by means of any third party softwares.
Thank you for your replies! What about comparing the properties of parts in one schematic to the properties of parts in another schematic?
xDX DataBook addin provides live property verification to a master property list stored in a database, highlighting when properties match or differ.
Otherwise export the properties using PartLister, import into your favorite spreadsheet and compare with limitless possibilities.
Ok, but because DxDesigner does not allow opening two different projects at the same time, how can we compare sheet by sheet with another similar project ?
The goal is to be able to identify changes made from a slightly different version, not only connectivity wise, but graphically wise too.
This would require the use of EDM and our Collaborative Compare tool.
Or for the single user VisEcad is available.

You can open two instances of DxDesigner with a single license... a different project in each. You need to open the tool and then File > Open > Project.
Or File - Open Reference.
With regard to graphical comparison of old and new schematic drawings, Mentor is a Siemens company. Siemens has a product called Teamcenter Visualization, which is able to import a wide variety of graphic formats, and has a built-in compare function. Perhaps Mentor could acquire the rights to offer this tool as a solution.
I can open two different instances of DxDesigner, but it will not let me open a project in the second one.
However, Open Reference works ...
Not possible with PADS Pro.
Yes, that works !
