How can we translate a particular text labels by its net name.
Example: If we want to translate the all vss labels as a calibre gdsii output, how can we implement this.
Thanks and regards
What precisely do you mean by "translate"?
What type of flow is this? Mask layout generation?
Thank you for the reply.
I am processing the gds using calibre drc flow. My output is also gds.
Desired layers I am able to generate using DRC CHECK MAP commands. In my requirement, I want generate labels too, based on the connectivity.
Can we translate the desired labels based on the connectivity as a gds output.
There are labels on M2, M3 of vdd and vss in the gds.
If I want to generate a gds with only labels which are belongs to vdd. Can we do this?
If you mean select just the text objects by name, the answer is not in a batch DRC run alone. You can export text objects from a particular layer using DRC Map Text Layer (see its examples in the SVRF Manual and be aware that DRC Check Map also applies). But that will export all text objects on the specified layers regardless of label name or connectivity status. You can mark the vdd label locations with an Expand Text operation if that would be of any benefit.
In the flow you are describing, you could post-process your output GDS with DESIGNrev to strip the text labels you don't want. The "$L delete text" command could be used in a DESIGNrev script. See the command's reference page in the DESIGNrev reference manual. Example 2 on that page could be modified to iterate over all cells and delete the texts you don't want. The "$L textout" command may be useful in such a script.
