Okay, everything was going along swimmingly, and then....
In DxDesigner(Pads 9.2) I had defined a bunch of differential pairs, but when I got to PADS Layout, I realized I didn't have the tools required to use differential pairs. No big deal, I thought. BUT, Layout and Router wanted to use the width and spacing defined for the diff pairs and not the default (smaller) width I had in my design rules. Then it went from bad to worse. I thought I could just remove the differential pair assignments from DxDesigner and then just forward everything to Layout. I was able to do half of my nets, but the other half would not let me eliminate the Diff Pair assignment, in fact, it wouldn't even let me CHANGE the assignment.
So,here are the questions:
1) Where are the width and gap for differential pairs assigned, and how do you change them?
2) Why can't I change/eliminate the Diff Pair assignment under the Properties for a net?
Right now the only workaround I have is to delete all the problematic nets and then add them back in .
