where can i find NC symbol for unconnected pin
In the builtin symbol partition, it is called 'term'.
Is there a NC symbole for Design Capture? Can I use the same one DxDesigner uses?
Can I build my own? How do I build my own in Design capture?
Yes, the RWTERM symbol, it works slightly differently in that the nets are still passed to Expedition allowing them to be fanned out if necessary.
Maybe I should have stated that we have our own library.
This sounds like it would be located in a default library supplied by Mentor Graphics.
If so could I import it into my library?
You will find it in the Basic symbol library delivered with the product and inside your Central Library (by default) and you would be advised to leave this library in there - it has the symbols for basic I/O - CON_HIER_I, CON_HIER_O etc as well as net ripper and basic physical connector ESROPE and ESPL1 respectively. If you don't have them then you will probably have to create a new Central Library and then import the missing symbols from this newly created library to your Central Library.
