there may be many reason for this:
- icdb server was not closed on the project, leaving the database opened.
- Software version is a different one causing database to not open
- data lock are left on the project
Without the data it's not possible to reply to you.

In the DxDesigner itself under the settings--->project tab one option "Enable concurrent design" is present. Uncheck this option and try it.
If this one didn't work then you check for backup files in Dxdesigner. Take the lastest backup file and unzip it.
Then open the Dxdesigner and uncheck the option which i have mentioned in the first line. Then run packager and map it to the pcb. Then proceed by means of forward annotation.

Sajiv, I tried it already but doesn't work. I'm going to create new schematic and will copy the blocks and circuits from old and try to package it and drive a new PCB from the sch.
But, Not sure it will work.. Its like a trail & error stuff. Let me give a try otherwise Support net will be my saver..
