Is there a way to switch on/off the visibility of drill holes in 3D view, or is this a SW problem?
I did not find a way to see drill holes in 3D PCB view. In decal Editor 3D view drill holes are displayed correctly.
In 3D view open Display Control and check mark Z-Axis scaling.
The help says:
Z-Axis Scaling — Adds a visual extrusion to the board stackup to better view internal structures and displays barrel holes of vias. Does not affect the measurement tools which report true values.
The effect of Z-Axis Scaling is to show the PCB scaled according to the scale factor which is at least 2.
It looks like there is no way to show the holes without this Z-Axis scaling which deforms the image.
Yan, thank you for your quick answer.
But additional to what Ben complains about, there are still no drill holes visible. There is something that has same size of the drill hole has but is only a different color, but no hole. Tools from competition are able to show drill holes correctly, you are able to look through. So from best in class tool I would expect this also.
Yes I am seeing the same thing, there seems to be some representation of the hole buts not actually showing the Drill Through the board.
The only way to get real holes in the board is to but holes in the board outline as it is now. See below from Beta forum. Maybe in a future release we will get this

Will export of component holes be supported in a step export in the future? Will export of traces/copper be supported in a step export in the future?
Not at this release but I will enter ER for this to make sure it is in the future road map.
