Has anyone solved the issue with Symbol Editor not liking multiple, identical pin names, e.g. GND, VCC etc ...
At the moment I am having to add a suffix, e.g. GND, GND.1, GND.2, GND.3 ..........
This is functioning as designed because parts defined in Xpedition PCB require unique pin names.
I'm not sure it is, I have a design where I have had to add suffixes to GND and VCC, but I have also seen a schematic
that has a part which contains 50 pins named GND.
Symbol Editor should discriminate on pin number not pin name.
So what flow are you using? What versions of software etc. In the schematic with 50 pins named GND are you sure these were pin names and not just text?
xdx designer, symbol editor, expedition version vx1.1

this is what I am trying to replicate
So you have to make the pin names unique and add GND as dumb text next to the pins. The limitation is in the part editor.
See this Idea Allow Duplicate Pin names on Symbols
I will check this later.
Let's say I have 100 ground pins on a device, rather than getting tennis elbow, how can I connect all 100 together in a single operation
so I can see this graphically on my schematic?
Can I also do this using a TCL command?

I'm currently unable to view the above link, could you email to me please.
It is your own question about connecting multiple ground signals.
