I see how to "like" it, but not how to mark it as helpful. I can only mark comments as helpful.
Good question jleine. However, only responses to questions can be marked as 'helpful.' The thinking on this is that a question has an answer, yet other responses can be helpful to that answer. Typically a doc is generally posted independently to provide insight on a topic. A doc could be posted in response to a question - but then it would be an attachment to the response.
I agree, tho - a doc can be helpful and it would be nice if the system allowed for noting that. An alternative option would be for you to add a comment to that doc noting how it was helpful to you. someone else may see your comment with the same issue.
The origin of my question is that I have a "quest" called onboarding and it requires me to like a document, but it appears I cannot do it. I am assuming there is some terminology issue or misunderstanding
jleine - In looking at something else just now on the community that was a document I noticed that in fact you can 'like' it. In the upper right corner under your avatar, several actions should be displayed: Following, Share, Bookmark, Like. Just select the Like.
Thanks, but you have not answered how to mark as "HELPFUL".
I only asked because there is a "quest" that requires one to mark a document as HELPFUL, but that does not seem to be possible.
I basically raised the same question with a different title in this thread: How to finish the first Quest?
As you can see the Community_Admin seems to have given the topic another shot
Thought this might be interesting for you aswell.
Please check again. The action of marking a Document as helpful should now be disabled. And please confirm....I can't see the end user result from my admin view. Thanks.
The first quest can be finished now
Good – thanks for checking.
Mine has not updated. Is there something else I need to do?:
Never mind. As soon as I sent the last reply it updated
Yes, you need to do one of the quest tasks to trigger the reward
Any of them will do
