eco doesn't handle deleted signals.

I believe this has worked for me in the past, but it doesn't now.  In OrCad Capture, I changed a connector from 14 pins to 12 pins, eliminating two signals in the process.  When i run ECO in PADS on the new netlist, it runs the first pass and gives the following output in the layout report (reprinted below). Note that although the part change was detected, it didn't notice any net changes.  When the second part of the ECO process runs, I get the error: "* New Part Type has different Alpha Pin names. Removed pins of J6 have signals. Change aborted."

 

What's going on?
