how can we get the license for DxDesigner 2007 version using PADS ES Suite?
The viewdraw license actually contains more functionality than the viewdraw040 (included in the padses_c suite license). The key difference is viewdraw enables concurrent design sessions in DxDesigner, whereas the viewdraw040 only allows single-user design sessions.
I recommend that you contact your local Mentor Graphics Distributor to see if there is a more appropriate PADS Kit or Suite license to suit your needs, one which includes a viewdraw.
There is no way to get a PADS ES Suite license (padses_c) to run DxDesigner at version 2007.x (or older). The license can only be used to run DxDesigner at versions 9.0 and newer.
For more details on licensing transitions refer to History of key licensing and installation changes/transitions in PADS
Andrew thanks for sharing the link
but few of our customers want to work in the non iCDB flow(2007.2 or lower), since they have so many legacy designs in ePD or earlier versions of DxDesigner
i understand that if we have "viewdraw" license available in padses_c license then they can get license for earlier versions as well
is there a way where you can add "viewdraw" to padses_c instead of "viewdraw040"?
